Mr Walker and Miss Brown share the teaching for Year Six

A few useful points:

• Year 6 pupils have a Planner where they make notes about home learning and keep important login codes for learning sites. They are expected to bring it every day.
• Homework is set for all Year 6 pupils. This is in preparation for secondary school expectations. If work is not completed in time, pupils are asked to do so during their own time at break or lunch.
• Although pupils do not need to bring in a pencil case as the school will provide all resources needed, they may do so if they like. This is also good practice in preparation for secondary school.
• Year 6 PE lessons take place on Monday and Wednesday. We expect pupils to come to school in appropriate PE kit on both of these days. 
• We expect all families to be connected to the Year 6 DOJO as this is frequently used to send messages home and to set homework.

Within the Year 6 class, we have many roles, including:

• Young Leadership Team - supporting Miss Brown and showing visitors around
• Sport Captains - Supporting Miss Robertson and running lunch clubs 
• Whizz Kids - Keeping the IT equipment tidy and helping younger children with their ICT
• Eco Team - Making the school environment clean and supporting the school to be more sustainable!
• Reading Team - Keeping the Year 6 library tidy and reading with younger children
