ReadWrite Inc

Wilstead became a ReadWriteInc. School in September 2020.  This is our whole school approach to teaching phonics, reading and spelling. 

 

Why ReadWriteInc?

We chose ReadWrite Inc because of its well-established reputation as a leading programme of study. It provides us with attractive and modern resources, clear and ambitious intent and a continous professional development model for all teaching and support staff. In 2021, the Department of Education published guidance for all schools on selecting a Phonics Scheme of Work and a list of validated schemes. ReadWrite Inc is one of these schemes.
