Children are increasingly expected to read and write across the broader curriculum as they progress with their learning journey. We believe that Literacy is the basis of all other subject learning at Wilstead, and we place high significance on children being able to read fluently and write with confidence, knowing that this will enable them to be successful learners both within and beyond the primary years.
Literacy is therefore led by two experienced subject leaders working in conjunction to ensure that progression across the school and through the curriculum is steady and purposeful.
