Parental partnership and engagement is very important within EYFS at Wilstead School. Children learn best when they can see that school and home are working together. Parental engagement is encouraged within the EYFS through the use of Class Dojo. This is a platform which allows school to share children’s learning and achievements with parents and carers. It is a two-way communication system which allow parents and carers to engage with school staff. In Wilstead School, the staff are present to talk to at the beginning and end of the school day. We also have an open-door policy allowing parents and carers in to settle their children in in the mornings and we encourage them to come in to see the children’s classroom and their learning environment.
