Wilstead Primary School Learning for Life

Year 1 Class Page (Ladybirds)

Hi everyone!

So, we have come to the end of another half term! I want to say a massive well done and and even bigger thank you to all of you parents who have taken on the challenge of home schooling and absolutely smashed it!  I have loved seeing all the pictures and videos, and have been cheered up on many occasions by some of your really kind emails.

As we move forward, from the 1st of June I will be returning to school full time.  This will mean that the home learning grid that is uploaded weekly for Year 1 will now be done by Mrs Cropley.  Therefore any questions you may have specific to the learning may be best answered by her, although I am of course still here to help.  Please still send through weekly pictures and stay in touch with me via my email address, and I will continue to upload the work the children have done to the website each week.

I have uploaded a half term activities grid for the next week, for any one who wishes to use some of the ideas, but please do make sure you all take a few days break from home schooling and enjoy the sunshine!

I have also uploaded a phonics section - this has links to websites and videos as well as printable resources to help the children with their phonics if you would like to use them.

Take care everyone and continue to stay safe!

Home learning - Week 9

Hi everyone,

I have loved seeing all the children's pictures and work again this week, I am so proud of all of them.  Lot's of parents have also been in touch this week to say motivation has been low and there have been lots of tears. If this has been the case, I am happy to recommend some strategies so please feel free to drop me an email. I am also happy to arrange a Zoom call with any one who feels it might benefit their child.

I look forward to seeing what the children have been up to this week. Take care and enjoy the sunshine.
